In industrial uses the components of the stairs can be finished in shiny galvanized steel that is also hard wearing and durable.  

Alternatively the components can be painted and when combined with stainless steel and glass handrail systems can provide an entrance feature to any building. The treads of the stairs can be formed with steel plates with anti-slip finishes or with concrete filled pans in domestic or office type environments.
